[CUSY Announcement] Regarding panlists change and how to deal with spams

Dear CUSY Members,

For the sake of both archiving important emails within CUSY and helping people better deal with (discuss-cusy) spams, CUSY board has decided to make such changes to CUSY panlists. Please read carefully (or at least item 1 and 2):

1. discuss-cusy@panlists.yale.edu will be replaced by discuss-cusy@googlegroups.com. Every current member ofdiscuss-cusy@panlists.yale.edu will be automatically moved to the new address. All functions and uses of the panlists address remain the same for the new googlegroup address, with the advantage that:

discuss-cusy的地址更改为discuss-cusy@googlegroups.com，所有功能及用途保持不变。

2*. For people who want to manage discuss-cusy spams, reply me anytime if you want to change the way you read discuss-cusy. 

如果你想更改你接受discuss-cusy邮件的频率，请从以下四个选项中选择并回复我：

Here are the options:

-No Email: receive no emails from discuss-cusy (0 emails，不接收来自discuss-cusy的邮件)

-Abriged Email: get a summary of all threads within a day (1 email a day if there are new threads，每日接收一封话题目录)

-Digest Email: get up to 25 full new messages bundled into a single email (1 email per 25 new threads，每25个新话题接收一份总结邮件)

-Email: receive every email (same as before，保持不变)

Don't reply if you don't want to make changes. Use the new address in the same way as you use the old one!

3. discuss-cusy@panlists.yale.edu will be disabled by 11:59pm tonight.

4. If you register a Google account with your yale email address, you can log in to view the threads archived at http://groups.google.com/group/discuss-cusy?hl=en, and change your settings by yourself. Notice that you can only do so if you are logged in Google with your Yale email address, or affiliate your Yale email address with your Google account (you can do so at https://www.google.com/accounts/EditUserInfo?hl=en).

如果你想在http://groups.google.com/group/discuss-cusy?hl=en浏览所有discuss-cusy的历史话题以及更改用户设定，你可以用你的Yale email地址注册Google帐户并登录，或者在https://www.google.com/accounts/EditUserInfo?hl=en将你的yale地址附属到你已有的Google帐户。

5. cusy@panlists.yale.edu的用途保持不变，仅限于board成员对CUSY的重要通知。这些信息将会同时备份到CUSY的网上平台（包含CUSY的通知，board工作报告，活动的纪录，照片，视频等，对CUSY成员、校友及prefrosh公开，将于近日开放）

6. cusy-board@panlists.yale.edu改为cusy-board@googlegroups.com，主要作为board成员内部交流。如果有想对board成员提出的意见及建议，请发送到新邮件地址。

7. cusy-alum@panlists.yale.edu用途保持不变。邮件会被备份到cusy-board。

We expect this to be a permanent change, and appreciate that you understand the changes made by CUSY board. Please use the two new addresses for discuss-cusy and cusy-board, and feel free to reply me to change your discuss-cusy reading settings!
